Hello, friend.
I
really don't want this to seem like spam. It's not. It's sent directly to you as a supporter of our music throughout the years, which are now stretching into decades. My, life does move along quickly!
I thought you might want to know about this little idea we've come up with, and that you might also want to be part of its implementation.
We have a LOT of CDs around here. (And, actually, a good many cassette tapes, too! Ask an older friend or relative if you're not sure what a "cassette tape" is.) ;-) And while we're grateful for the roof over our heads (and our recorded albums on digital compact disc) ... we think it would be nicer if those CDs were "out in the wild", rather than in boxes in our attic and our shed.
(Well, even better that the find a nice, warm home in a CD player somewhere...)
Music is still selling, but only in completely digital formats. iTunes and other virtual retailers carry and sell our music to the masses daily. BUT, we still have all of these real plastic discs that you can hold in your hand (with some pretty great inserts, full of photos and lyrics and other great information and stories); they are just sitting here, an ever-present reminder that they are bygone technologies.
The music is still worth hearing, and sharing. And I'd guess you, and most of the people you know, have a CD player or two in your homes and/or vehicles still, right?
So we're making it easy. CDs—for an indeterminate time, starting now—will be just
five dollars. ($5) AND, we'll ship as many as you order for
free. (From one to a thousand. Well, not a thousand... we don't have
that many...)
We're calling it
"The GREAT |basic| Disc Run of 2013!"
(Well, I'm calling it that...) :-)
AND, it's a very simple URL that gets you to the page with this special event offer:
basicmm.com/CDs
PLUS, there's a handy "Like" and "Send" Facebook button at the top, right corner of the page, so you can let the friends of your choosing know about the event. (Or just "like" it and let everyone know!)
We're glad you've at some point along the way enjoyed some (or all) of our music. We'd love for you to help us clear out our current physical inventory (CDs, even cassettes) and enjoy it all over again, or spread the enjoyment around to your friends and family—or even strangers!
Thanks for participating. It will be so great to hear from you.

(PS: You can always check out all of our music at iTunes, Amazon, and especially basicmusic.bandcamp.com. Not to mention Spotify, Pandora, and other streaming services. Digital music is where it's at (BEEN at for many years now) so... that's where we're at!)
(PPS: If you have LOTS of friends, email me about a "bulk" pricing scale of some sort. We'll work it out. Still free shipping, of course!)
(PPPS: Bonus points for reading all the way to the end!!) :-)
