This page will give you a brief idea of how we usually do things - for more details on what kinds of things we can do, or a more spelled out version of what we kind of programs we do... check out the suggestions page.

Before the Gig

We send out a confirmation packet with a sheet with all the details we know, and some that we need, that you can fill out and send back to us by mail, e-mail, fax or phone.
We also send out 1 or 2 promo posters for you to use to promote the event. More are available upon request.
We work with you to fit as smoothly into your plan as possible:
- talking with any people involved in the implementation of the program
- If Worship Leading - we also work with whomever will be arranging for visual display of words

Travel/Arrival

We will arrange to arrive at your location at least 1.5 hours before the beginning of the program for sound set up and to set up our merchandise table.
If you are farther than a days drive from our location, we may need to work out some travel arrangements:
- We could arrange for you to fly us in
- You may be able to help get us some other gigs in the area to help defray travel cost
- We are very flexible... we can work something out! :-)

Gig

A gig is typically from 45 minutes to 3 hours long. The longer the gig we obviously break it up into several sets. For more on length of program, see Booking Suggestions.

Remuneration
Our financial policy is that God takes care of our needs, so we do not "charge" any specific amount for what we do. But, the following are some guidelines for how much you might pay us if you are able

All things considered, our goal is $600/gig (usually referring to a one-day gig)

an honorarium (a check made out to basic)
a love offering (a free-will offering taken sometime during the program, or just a basket set up on a table)
sales of our merchandise
or... any combination of the above

If we are doing something longer than a one-day gig:

a three day retreat - our goal would be $1200
a week of camp - our goal would be $1500-2000
an overnight retreat - goal would be $500-600
with a band: goal would be $3000 minimum

Basically, the plan is $300/event, or $1000/week is what we think will support our family and allow us to continue doing our music ministry. At this time we do not want money to get in the way of letting God work through our music. He has been and will continue to be faithful to provide financially through places that can afford to do so. Please take into consideration our financial needs, but do not hesitate to invite us to come even if you are sure you can not meet them.

After the Gig

Occasionally, we will send out a survey to first-time places asking you to help us "improve our serve"
If it seemed like an effective ministry opporunity that we had together, we will usually call and see if we can help again

These are some of the things you can expect from us as basic. Most of all, you can expect these things:
Phil. 2:5 - Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus

1Cor. 10:31 - So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Col. 3:17 - And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Col. 3:23 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men
