Memorial Day Weekend Sale! Friday, May 27th - Monday, May 30th Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone! It's a great weekend to be with family, enjoy a picnic, get a break from the rigors of normal, everyday life and just enjoy the freedom that we have in this great country. Freedom bought at a price. Men and women have died to protect our freedoms - no matter what your political views on the wars through the decades may be - and this weekend we honor them. I wrote a song once (that has not officially been recorded yet) called Memorial Day. I was just marveling at how someone would be willing to risk everything - their own life - for someone they don't know, and who very possibly won't even care that they did. That is incredible. Then, I realized that this was just like Jesus! Our freedom was bought at the price of HIS life. He offered to die for us even knowing that many would not even care that he did. This past week I had a thought. (Sometimes I do that...) I thought, "We sure do have a lot of CD boxes over there in the corner..." It's true. We have a good many homeless CDs sitting in cardboard boxes waiting for someone to provide for them a loving home. Ordinarily we are able to get those out to people through the various places we are performing over the course of a week. BUT, as we are taking some down time at the moment, that is not happening quite as much right now. :-) So, I wanted to offer an invitation to everyone on this list (and anyone you'd like to forward it to?) to purchase a CD from our website, or any of the retail locations listed at our store, or any of the online distributers I mentioned in the previous update. To invite you to purchase one or more, or lots (see more on this below) to give to a friend or resell or just enjoy yourself. And then I had a great idea! It's Memorial Day Weekend... there are always lots of sales... so why not have one at the basic e-store!!! Here are the highlights:
We have set up a page where you can with a simple click add any of these discounted items to your cart. Bulk Discounts To receive the bulk discounts, click on the appropriate "Add To Cart" button and then enter the amount of items you'd like to purchase. So if you want to get 40% off of Another Road Trip CDs (normally $10, sale $6!!!) you would click on that button, and in your shopping cart enter the number eleven, followed by clicking the Update button directly below. How You Can Help There are a few ways you can help us get the music out of our attic and to people whom it may encourage. 1. Resell!!! You can take advantage of the bulk discounts and purchase CDs to sell to your friends. You have our permission to resell at any price you'd like. You can find the normal price we sell them for at the e-store. 2. Give 'Em Away! Perhaps you have been blessed with an abundance at the moment, and are able to buy some CDs in bulk and just give them away to friends, family and neighbors. How cool would that be!?!? You save some money with the discount, and you get the joy of giving with no strings attached! Fun!! 3. Advertise! Another idea I had for you web gurus out there is hosting a banner on your website!
