"basic" - at the iTunes Music Store! NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD!  Well, it has been a while in coming, but it's now official... you can buy our albums, or perhaps even cooler still, individual songs at the iTunes Music Store. We are very excited that even with hardly any publicity we have already sold some music at the ITMS, and look forward to more people enjoying basic music as a result of the new digital downloads opportunity that iTunes creates. iTunes offers individual songs for $0.99 per song, and most albums are only $9.99. Our God Came album is listed for $9.90 as it is only 10 tracks long, so ... 10 times $0.99 is... $9.90! :-) It's a great way to get our music for a little cheaper, and for all the folks who are converting to at least mostly digital (or even digital only) it will be a welcome purchasing option. iTunes just surpassed the 500 MILLION mark in music downloads. That's incredible. They have only been at this a few years, and some still scoff at the medium of digital (downloads) music. But, they continue to blow away any projections made and will probably do so for some time. So, there is a large audience visiting the iTunes store everyday. We are currently in contact with iTunes to see about offering one of our songs as a free download of the week. As news develops there, we'll be sure to let you know. We also have another point of connection currently on the ITMS (detailed below) that might help a few more people stumble upon our music. Just like anything we do, we hope that God will direct and use this as something that connects people with him. We're having fun with all the new toys, but as these toys are used by people whom God loves, we pray that he would touch hearts and reveal to them his great love through even this new medium of iTunes. So, spread the word and HAPPY DOWNLOADING! New Locations Well, as we mentioned the advent of digital downloads at the iTunes Music Store, don't forget there are tons of other places to find basic CDs (and even Greg's book) online and at physical locations. In fact, audiblefaith.com has been offering individual MP3s for purchase for a while now (just not quite as cool looking as iTunes). So check out our distribution partners below, and support them as well by purchasing our music and books there if you are able! :-)

basicmm radio :: your basic podcast...We mentioned above that there was another place people could find us at the iTunes Music Store, and that is at our new podcast! If you have not yet heard of podcasts, they are basically just like a regular radio broadcast, except instead of distributing over the airwaves, they are posted to special websites where people can stop by and listen anytime they like, or use special software that will automatically download a newly posted program to the listeners computer as soon as one is available. iTunes just released a new version of their software for Mac/Windows that includes this special software. And, in the course of my web design business, I was helping someone with their podcast, and figured the best way to learn was to make my own! So I did! And thus was born basicmm radio! This will be a weekly program featuring a rare, out-of-print, or even never before released song from basic along with a story about the song or some other background information. Kind of like the bonus features on a DVD. :-) The downloads are free, and if you subscribe through iTunes, they will automatically download as soon as we have posted the next one. The latest show was posted last Friday, and features a song called "One" that we wrote for our wedding, and performed for the wedding of some friends of ours. This week we'll be celebrating another anniversary of sorts. Ten years ago, July 23rd, 1995 marked the public debut of a 5-piece band called "B.A.S.I.C". The original band featured the brother/sister combination of Greg & Tara Campbell from Clarence, NY. We were able to capture some audio from that concert and will post a song from that event this Friday on the podcast! So stop by and celebrate TEN YEARS with us!!! Links of Interest With a lighter travel and performance schedule these days, we are enjoying family time at home, and connecting with our friends and neighbors here in Palmyra, and I am doing lots of stuff on the internet.
