We had another very nice evening at Earthtones Wednesday night. I wrote a little bit about our last two gigs on my blog last night, if you'd like to check it out. Two down, four to go...

Tonight's event is an annual tradition to be sure. We will be singing at the Eastiew Mall for an hour this Thursday night (... tonight!). We'll set up and sing tons of great, fun Christmas songs whilst merry shoppers pass by, whistling as they go. :-) There are lots of chairs set up as well, so many people stop for a song or two or three while they take a break from the mad Christmas shopping pace. It's a great way to spend a Christmas season evening. Come out and join us!

For day #3, we thought you might like to check out Greg's other most recent book, Life In The Rearvieiw Mirror. This one was published in June 2006, one month before There's The Steeple...  Books communicate ideas, yes, but they are more than that. The book you are holding, along with Greg's previous writing A Journey Shared, 2005, invites you on a journey. It's the life he has lived over the past year or so -- shared. It's the ups and the downs, not compressed into scholarly jargon, but hopefully fresh and real, and like a conversation at the corner cafe.

There are some deep things in this book, and some more light-hearted. Subjects ranging from the character of God (love, grace, mercy), to life with small kids, to divorce and blended families, to death, taxes, and a whole section on money. But all of it is an invitation to think along with the author, to travel together on the path trod over the past twelve months. The book does not assume to present all the answers to the questions posed. Certainly not. But Greg has pondered the side things, and invites you to do that with him.
