/basic e-news/ Vol 7. - Issue 6 [November 29th, 2007]

Hey everybody! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and/or friends. We got to spend a few days with my (Greg's) extended family down in Ohio. It was fantastic! We're back now and getting ready to enjoy the holiday season (and Ian's birthday!!)

We'll be singing out a few times in the month of December. The full schedule will be updated at the calendar page on our website.

We recently sold our faithful "basic trailer" due to being off the road for a few years now. When we did I cleaned it out and in the process was reminded that we have quite an inventory of our Christmas CD, God Came.

It's an interesting project. We think it's one of our best. It's the one that we listen to the most! (Yes, we listen to our own CD... the kids love it!) :-) And we really recommend it to most people, even though nearly everyone will only play it for 5 or 6 weeks every year!

(By the way, many people still play it all year round!) :-)

Well we'd like to remind you again, in this season when you can happily listen to a great Christmas CD, that God Came would make a great gift for everyone on your list - or even you if you don't have it yet!

Actually, in getting these CDs a home other than our storage shed or attic. :-) We have created a page dedicated to just the Christmas CD, with a very easy web address: basicmm.com/christmas. You can tell people, email people, forward this email... however you want to do it... you can help us spread the word.

God Came would make a great stocking stuffer. It makes a great gift for just about anyone - maybe especially those "hard to shop for" people... who doesn't love a good Christmas CD? You could get 5 or 10 of them and keep them by your door to give to company during the holidays.

So many possibilities! :-)

Of course, you can also purchase the album or just individual songs at iTunes, so that is a great option as well. The link to our album at iTunes is in the little box at the top left of this e-mail.

So whether you can purchase a handful yourself, or you'd like to help us spread the word about this Christmas CD, we'd love to get it out to as many people as possible this Christmas season. We think it's a great project, a great gift, and a cool reminder of the greatest gift of all - that God came to live with us.

I said I wasn't going to do this but... in the spirit of the holidays, I'm going to be cheerful, hopeful, and share...

It would appear that God is adding to our family once more. :-) We are expecting another family member in the month of March next year, and all signs point to a normal, healthy pregnancy and baby so far. We have not been making any announcements due to previous problems with pregnancies... but all seems "go" on this one.

We are super thankful to God for this gift, and look forward to meeting a new family member in 2008.
