Ready for some Christmas Music??? As we do every December, we will be out with guitar in hand singing some Christmas music for captive audiences, as well as busy holiday shoppers. The schedule is really light this year! In fact, there are only TWO options for public performances! Here's our official Christmas schedule: Our PUBLIC Gigs Thursday, Dec 13 - 7:00pm - Victor, NY An annual tradition to be sure! We will be singing at the Eastiew Mall for an hour on a Thursday night. We set up and sing tons of great, fun Christmas songs whilst merry shoppers pass by, whistling as they go. :-) There are lots of chairs set up as well, so many people stop for a song or two or three while they take a break from the mad Christmas shopping pace. It's a great way to spend a Christmas season evening. Come out and join us! Time: 7:00-8:00pmSaturday, Dec 22 - 11:00am - Newark, NY The last holiday concert of the season will be at the Walmart in Newark, NY. We'll be singing for at least an hour and a half right at the entrance of WalMart. So get your last minute shopping done and come sing with us! It's a fun time for sure! Time: 11:00am-1:00pmOur LESS PUBLIC Gigs Wednesday, Dec 12 - 6:00pm - Newark, NY We're back in Newark for our now annual event with our friends in Sound Mind, the Mahoneys. We'll be singing Christmas music again for their Christmas party at the Armstrong Senior Living Center. These events are always great fun. We'll be bringing our kids, which usually makes for some great conversation, and brings lots of smiles. :-) Even though I called these "less public" events, as far as I know it is an open event, so if you're in the area, come out and join us, and you may be able to bring a smile to a face or two as well. Time: 6:00-7:00pmSaturday, Dec 15 - 10:00am - Phelps, NY The second concert of the season with our friends the Mahoneys, who go by the name Sound Mind at a senior living center in nearby Phelps, NY. The Vienna Gardens Senior Living Center is having us come do a Christmas program for them. Hopefully the Christmas tree will not fall over this year... :-) Same goes for what I said above (will be pretty much the same event) just a different location, and different folks to whom we can bring a smile. It's Not Too Late:Get God Came in time for Christmas! The Christmas shopping season is well under way, and I'm sure you've been displaying your Christmas lights and decorations, maybe eaten some Christmas goodies along the way... all while enjoying your collection of Christmas music. Well we'd like to remind you again, in this season when you can happily listen to a great Christmas CD, that God Came would make a great gift for everyone on your list - or even you if you don't have it yet! As I said in the previous newsletter, we'd like to ask your help in getting these CDs a home other than our storage shed or attic. (Thanks to those who have responded so far!) We have created a page dedicated to just the Christmas CD, with a very easy web address: basicmm.com/christmas. You can tell people, email people, forward this email... however you want to do it... you can help us spread the word. God Came would make a great stocking stuffer. It makes a great gift for just about anyone - maybe especially those "hard to shop for" people... who doesn't love a good Christmas CD? You could get 5 or 10 of them and keep them by your door to give to company during the holidays. So many possibilities! :-) Of course, you can also purchase the album or just individual songs at iTunes, so that is a great option as well. The link to our album at iTunes is in the little box at the top left of this e-mail. So whether you can purchase a handful yourself, or you'd like to help us spread the word about this Christmas CD, we'd love to get it out to as many people as possible this Christmas season. We think it's a great project, a great gift, and a cool reminder of the greatest gift of all - that God came to live with us.
