Got Any Plans This Weekend? We have a couple suggestions if you are looking for a weekend activity! We're about to begin our busiest season of the year, and would love for you to join us for an event or two over the next two weeks. Starting tomorrow night out in Clinton, NY - near Westmoreland. Then on Saturday, we'll be back in Rochester at Alpha & Omega bookstore! And that's just the beginning! Please read on... :-) This Weekend's Christmas Gigs Friday, Dec 02 - 8:00pm - Clinton, NY The first holiday concert of the season will be out east of Syracuse in the tiny town of Clinton. Resurrection Assembly of God will be hosting us at their Coffee House for the night. We'll play for a couple hours and of course will be breaking out the dusty Christmas songs for the first time this year! (Well, not the first... but the first time for most of them!) :-) Can't wait! If you're out east and can come on over, we'll see ya there! Time: 8:00-10:00pmSaturday, Dec 03 - 3:00pm - Penfield, NY On Saturday, we will be appearing in an all-day music fest at Alpha and Omega Bookstore in Penfield, NY. (Near Rochester) It might be a solo show for Greg, with the late show in Clinton on Friday, but it will still be festive and Christmas music only! So come get some shopping done, and sing along with basic! (Greg might need the help!) :-) Time: 3:00-4:00pmAnd don't forget, Palmyra friends... we'll be at the new coffee shop - Coffee Creek NEXT Saturday, Dec 10! From 7:30-9:30pm! Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow! This is a repeat from the previous newsletter, but bears repeating. :-) It's that time of year again... well, almost. It's the Christmas season! We will be performing Christmas music all over NY again in the month of December. Many of the spots we have played before, and a few new ones, (like the new coffee house right here in Palmyra, Coffee Creek!) We would love to see you guys out there for either your Christmas shopping (the Wal-Mart gig) or a cup of holiday cheer (the coffee house gigs) or a nice dinner with family (a church Christmas dinner). Wherever we might catch you, we look forward to seeing you. :-) Visit our calendar page for the full schedule: basicmm.com/calendar |

basicmm radio: Your basic Podcast Many of you have probably heard that we started a podcast when iTunes started offering the feature in their online store. We called it basicmm radio, and featured a song or two every episode that had not been previously released. It's been a blast! There are two things we want to let you know about basicmm radio, however. 1. There will only be two more episodes. :-) Starting in January, we're going to stop this particular podcast. The previous episodes will be up indefinitely, but there will no longer be new episodes. 2. This week's show - posting tomorrow - is a SPECIAL EDITION! We did an interview with 3 of the 4 other original members of the basic band! It's been 10 years since that group was together, and we spent 30 min or so reminiscing, and catching up on where everyone is at now. My sister, Tara, and Matt Carswell (drums), and Todd Earnst (bass) were able to join in the conversation! It's a show you might want to catch if you have not yet listened to basicmm radio! So stop by the podcast page tomorrrow (basicmm.com/podcast) and check out this special edition, as well as some of the previous shows. We think you'll enjoy it! Speaking Of Christmas... Again... a repeat, but worth mentioning again. :-) Since you are getting in the Christmas shopping frame of mind... I did want to remind you that the most recent studio project we released (last fall) was our God Came CD that is full of great Christmas carols done in a new "basic" way, as well as two basic originals, including the title track. It's a really fun collection of Christmas favorites, that you'll want to play year round! (Seriously... we do, and we have some friends who have told us they play it even in the summer time...) :-) The CDs sell for $15 at our website, and if you check our e-store there are links to the many other places you can buy the CD, including Amazon.com, and iTunes. If you're looking to bolster your Christmas music collection, we'd like to recommend this CD. If you are wanting to get a cool gift for friends or family, we'd like to recommend this CD. If you just really wanted to make a donation to basic music ministries, we'll send you free CDs for each $15 donation. ;-) (he he) :-) We do think you'll love the CD if you do not already have it, and just wanted to extend this invitation to check it out, at our store, or any of the stores linked from that page, including......... Alright, folks! We're looking forward to seeing you out there this weekend, or sometime soon! And, if you're able to purchase a Christmas CD, that would be wonderful. If you are interested in buying a bunch as Christmas gifts, give us a call or e-mail us for a bulk discount! :-) Don't forget, if you want to read this, or other e-newses online, go to basicmm.com/enews. Hope to see y'all out there sometime soon! Greg & Jen Campbell basic
